My cat is 10 years old, and a diagnosed diabetic. His sugar has been well-controlled for about 2-3 years now. Recently (the past two months), he started eating voraciously, and yet he is losing weight. His diabetes is not the problem, because his count is so good, (checking once a week now) he has not received any insulin in a few months. We took him to the vet for a complete bloodwork, but so far she has found nothing. She checked for a thyroid problem twice, with negative results. She now wants to do a bile acid test to see if anything is wrong with his liver. Oh, and he is constantly scratching and grooming, pulling out tufts of hair (but never irritating the skin) At first we thought he was grieving (his little brother died about four months ago), but this has gone on way too long to just be emotional, and we are careful to give him much love and support. So I've been writing a series of books dealing with a charcter named Danny Jones. The first book in the series is called The Hourgl Plague, it sounds weird, i know. Well i think I'll skip the beginning because that's only relevent to the end of the series. But Danny somehow finds himself and his friends stuck under ground after excavating his schools rumored "underground tunnels" he then finds a place unlike any he's seen before. Its a large base that looks like a castle he curiously goes in and sees that people live there. King Poronac and his son tarool, along with their pet panther named dusk, so Poronac eventually recognizes over time that Danny has the same aura surrounding him as the ancient elemntal of fire, Blaze (long story) SO POronac lets him stay knowing that a child of an elemental could only bring trouble to his castle, Poronac shows Danny that it is not a normal castle, he brings him in a large room, it was like a zoo. Except there were no animals in the cages, they were mythical creatures, so POronac tells Danny that his family had been hunting mythical creatures on earth for centuries bringing them back into the castle and storing them. He also said that it was to erase the gruesome past that these monsters had on earth. So after staying awhile Danny finds out about Anxelo, the great lord of time. And also that Poronac is Anxelo's sworn enemy. So Danny his friends, and some of POronac's armies set out to Anxelo's base after learning that the evil lord of time had let loose a plague called the hourgl plauge, which causes everybody on earth's hourgl of life to speed up. They got to the base where they met Dynocaust a large black Monster that works for Anxelo, and also controls an army of Hydrakids, his minions. They get past him, but also find Anxelo's ins, Jester and Darc They fight them, kill Darc and jester flees, Danny's friend Carson picks up dead Darc's magician hat, puts it on, and is gifted with the the power of the black seige which is almost like the force but you can actually see it. So they find Anxelo, and see the hourgl that holds he l;ife of the plague, but as you know Anxelo's not going to really give up world domination without a fight. POronac's army men tell Danny and his friends to sneak around and destroy the hourglass while they hold Anxelo off. Well, suprise suprise the army men die. And Anxelo is after Danny now. Anxelo shot a blast of razor sharp sand at Danny, (sand that could disentigrate somehow) yah, his powers are that cool. So Carson pulls Danny out of the way and the sand hits the hourglass, shattering it, and ening the plague. Yah shoot some disentigrating sand in the direction of your plague source why dontcha Anxelo (dumbass). So Anxelo's pissed and before he completely kills them, Dusk the panther knocks everybody down onto a metal plate and pulls them back to Poonacs castle, so yah, hes pretty fast. Return it to the power plant and then go to the radio tower which i think is located in saffron city. talk to the guy in the hat inside the radio tower to recieve the poke music radio think. go to your pokegear and go to the radio card. move the ball up to the top of the red globe until it says pokeflute. then go to the snorlax and fight it, this will be about your only chance to catch it but its hard not to kill it so save first. if you dont have time just kill it. beware, it has leftovers so it can regain health. when you defeat it, catch it, or flee you will be able to enter the cave. I recently switched to a riser bar on my bike, and feel as if I have better control on difficult trails. Car starting problem?

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla S. I made a CD to listen to and after making it i turned my car on (not all the way) but just enough for the radio, lights, wipers, etc to work. It worked and I turned my car all the way off. When I turned it off I heard a strange sound kinda like something motorized was moving inside the car. I then got curious and I tried to start the car and when I tried it didn't work, all that happened was a few clicks and the car wouldn't start at all.. it sounds like its trying to start and it cant. I tried starting it 10 minutes later and it did the same thing. PLEASE HELP =(

Nosebleed and now my chest hurts and i'm super dizzy.?

This morning I had a nose bleed that wouldn't stop so i grabbed some tissues and held it to my nose, and eventually fell asleep but then when I woke up my nose started bleeding again. It bled ALOT. Catholics, should I convert?

I've went to Presbyterian Church my whole life, I never liked it. When I started going to a Catholic school, I went to my first m. Never being outside my parents' church before, I never knew how different it was. It actually felt like God was there, which I had never felt in my church. Our cl prayed the Rosary and I liked it. Even though I'm not Catholic, my teacher is making us all go to confession soon, but I don't think it will really do anything for me since I'm not a member of the RC church. My mom is against me becoming Catholic. Anytime I ask if we could go to a weekend m, she makes an excuse. It's just depressing to know that I'm going to graduate from the school this year, and won't be able to go to a church I like anymore. I keep praying that God will help me with this, but it's not working. We go over the beliefs in religion cl and so far I agree with the teachings, and also want a religion that requires more of a commitment. Either way, I'm going to convert when I'm old enough to drive to a different church. I just want to switch so bad.

Thigh pain, knee pain and swelling, after mage?

3 Months ago i was sitting in the back of my friends truck, maging my thigh in one spot. After a few minutes I stopped, and when I did, it felt like the muscle deflated. So i slid off my friends truck and walked around for a minute, then had him take me home cuz it didnt feel right. By the time i got to my house my leg was in pain. went to the ER, got xrays, went to a doctor, got xrays, went to an orthopedic, got more xrays and an MRI of my knee. it showed some swelling, and some fluid underneath my patellar tendon. NOOONE has any idea what the problem is, I havent been able to walk for 3 months, bar one day i said forget it, and walked for a day, which put me right back to square one. When I stand, the middle of my thigh down to the knee gets kinda blotchy with light red, from the knee to the ankle gets red, and from the ankle down gets red, then slowly darker and bluish. Any Ideas on what this could be? and what the color changes mean? Is it blood getting pinched off by my thigh? or is it poor circulation resulting in the blood sticking around in the extremities? Knee is still swollen, and patellar tendon is still tender to the touch. any ideas?

I'm kind of surprised to hear you were not impressed with Georgia College and State University. It is a very good school and the campus is pretty nice. I do not recommend GA Southern at all. If you don't like GCSU then maybe you could try Georgia State. The only thing that is a bit difficult there is parking. Other than that, it's a good school and not quite as hard to get into as UGA.

When I pour kerosene through the line it works fine, when I stop the flame goes out. Do they have pumps to pump the kerosene and if so where would it be? I have longer fingers that make playing the organ/piano difficult. Can someone give me advice, I'm frustrated?

Sometimes I see players with what appear to be larger hands sit further away from the piano. I also see people play the white keys less toward the front of the keyboard and more along side the black keys. This is done more on the organ since less leverage is needed to press the keys down. Ironically many of the organs I've played have smaller keys than a piano and so it's cramped just enough between the black keys that my fingers can't use this technique. My Hammond tonewheel organs ( M3 and B3[ actually A100...same thing different box]) had this issue. Now I prefer to play a combo organ and fortunately I have finally landed an organ I really like. The great thing about this organ is that it's keys are as big as a pianos keys. So this is a first for my big hands- larger piano size keys on an easy to press organ. This is the reason I am asking for advice. I really want to be able to play more relaxed and have my fingers sit more naturally on the keyboard. Thanks for any pointers.

Am I the blind one? Is he right? I mean, yesterday morning, we got up and I was under the impression that we were hunky dory, then he starts giving me the TOTAL cold shoulder, and why? He says it doesn't matter and I should know by now. I mean, what is that?! I realize I do things wrong because every human does, but why am I always left in the dark about things because he never opens up or just silently makes me feel guilty about little things (like staying at a friends house for an hour longer than I said). I know this isn't too detailed...but I'm just really confused. I'm forgetful, I admit. So when I tell him that, he says I don't care and that getting anything out of me, is like 'pinning jello to the wall'. I mean, when he wants , I give it to him. When he wants to eat, I cook. When he says anything, I usually do it because I just want to be happy. I HATE fighting. It's bad for our kids and our marriage. I've left SO many times...then he makes promises to change and that things will be different from here on out...then a month later, we're back to fighting. He says it's because I haven't changed. That he's sick of telling me and that I need to take 'initiative'. I mean, he's faithful, hard-working and provides for us...but I'm so hurt most the time...and now I'm starting to wonder if I'm the one who is wrong, and he is the one being emotionally abused? Sorry this explanation is so confusing.

You would then pay the owner of the property instead of a bank. Once you have been in the house for a year and hopefully have sold your current house, you will be able to refi. See if they would go for a 3 5 or 7 year contract. With current market conditions they may be willing to do this, especially if they own it outright or are elderly and don't need the money to get into another property. Nothing to loose by asking. Try to meet with them or talk to them in person and you might be able to get a feel for if they would be willing to do so.

Hey, alright, so I have been interested in acting for a long time. I've been a part of two productions already that have been involved with school and I love it, I also took Drama as a course. Now I'm 18 though and I'm just graduating so I really want to get out there now. I'm from Europe, but I'm moving to London after summer and so I want to start going to auditions or something. However, I only enjoy movies and stuff that's on tv, it seems more naturalistic for me.. as in theatre it seems too melodramatic and I wouldn't enjoy it as much. It's been a huge dream of mine for a long time and I really want to become successful and use my talent in a good way because I've always been pionate about it and I've been artistic in a way, so I'm not in it to be famous, but just to be recognized. Stomach hurts every night since a drink ?

So last weekend (5 days ago) I had a weird absent vodka drink mix and it Renee green. That's the last time I'm drinking a mix drink that I don't make myself. I only ad 3 sips but it was enough to make me throw up that night. And I know it was that drink cuz besides that I only had 2 beers. But I felt a lot better after I threw up but now every since that day, my stomach feels sick. 5 year old Dwarf Hamster - loss of weight?

I got 2 sister dwarf hamsters about almost 6 years ago. Pudgemuffin died in October after a nasty case of glaucoma, but Sasha is still around. They were not housed together (so this isn't mourning) because my mother had Sasha at her house, and I had Pudge at mine. My mother moved and had to give Sasha away, so I took her in. I know for a fact my mother gave her things like pizza crust and crackers, and I only give her her food and mustard/dandelion greens, carrots, green/yellow peppers, cubers, a pinch of raw oatmeal oats, and occasional fruits (not more than once a week) like strawberries, gs, bananas or chopped apples. She used to pe VERY round and puffy, but she has lost A LOT of weight. I understand her losing weight because of the diet change.. but she has gotten VERY thin. She also has a small mole-like growth on her lower tummy area. It doesn't seem to bother her, and I would take her to a vet, but the vets around here are nitwits and don't know much about rodents. Plus if it is a tumour or something, I couldn't afford to get it removed. Im hoping the two are at least unrelated. any ideas? She is more than 5 1/2 years old, and runs a lot. Is it normal for her to be losing weight like this? Thanks =)

Not only that but you need to be able to accurately CONTROL and SUSPEND this temp for HOURS OR DAYS! Perhaps your best best is to look up historical glblowing techniques. The "beehive" kiln uses a drafting system to melt gl and they fire with wood. Check out ancient Greek and Venetian techniques. Also a good source for technical glblowing equipment building is Henry Halem's "Gl Notes"

Hello. Yesterday, I adopted a black lab from a man who said he rescued her from an older couple who wanted to take her to the pound because they couldn't handle a puppy. He said she doesn't have shots his knowledge. She is about 3 months old. We'll be getting her to he vet for shots on Monday or Tuesday. She is a bubbly little girl. Goes pee outside, poo, she hasn't quite learned yet. Yesterday night my dad gave her a few bits of steak (I told him not to so please no negative comments) because our old dog loved steak scraps. They were big enough for her to swallow, obviously. She also was given a puppy rawhide for teething from the pet store, and she is eating the same food as she was at her old home. She woke me up at 5 this morning, throwing up the meat on the bed. She was trying to get off but she's too little for that yet. I moved out on the couch with her. She fell asleep, and woke up a little later. She wanted out, and peed. Then, I guess I brought her inside too soon, because she pood in the room that we were sleeping in before. She fell asleep after I cleaned it up, despite wanting to play. Then, she woke up twice, got off the couch and threw up clear. Let me add that her poo was solid, no blood, no worms. And there's been no blood in her throw up. After the last time she threw up, she laid down and wanted to stay there and sleep. She's been laying around all day. When I take her outside, I have to pick her up off the couch or wherever she's sleeping because she doesn't know what "Do you wanna go outside?!" means yet, so she just stares at me. When I let her back in, she darts back to her sleeping place and watches for me to come cuddle with her, and when I do, she lays her little head down. We've taken her outside a few times today. Two of the times, she pood a jet stream of liquid that looked like yellowish water, no blood, followed by a little bit of gooey diarrhea. After pooing, she would jump around a lot more like a happy puppy would. She also walked around my yard with me, running and sniffing everywhere. When she got back inside, she went back to sleep. She's been sleeping literally all day besides going outside. Earlier, my dad and I got her to wake up because we wanted to see how she was doing. We pointed out my hamster, running around in its ball. She jumped off the bed, ears up, going to investigate and paw at it. I just let her outside again, and when she came inside, she was perky on my bed for awhile with her head and ears up gnawing on her leash, but then she went to sleep again. She has also been drinking a decent amount today, but refusing to eat everything offered. Could this be parvo? I'm so scared. I love this little girl already. We think it might just be her being home-sick, getting used to a new place, since her old home had multiple dogs. She's the only dog here. ): Please help me. Thank you.<3

I think dogs should always be allowed inside unless they are working dogs and their job requires them to be outdoors. If he really likes it you should allow him both, a doggy door perhaps so he can go in and out as he pleases. As long as he has access to decent shelter and water while he is outside though I don't think you are doing a horrible thing though.

Im 14 years old and lost about 32 pounds since Januaray. I was 117 at maximum now im a 89 lbs. When I was losing the weight by eating very little. salads only and fruits, no meat or diary products, cutting it all out . running about 2 miles everyday. I didn't realized that I was considered anorexic when people that cared for me realized how skinny i got . I stopped running on March and started to "try" and eat normally again. It was really hard because when you dont have your appetite for food, and you are scared of getting fat, its pretty easy to say NO to ice cream. bow i am still 89 lbs . I can't really tell you about what it's like to learn Russian because I already know how to speak it, but I can say that it does take some time to get use to the language change because of how things are pronounced. "superhuman smell" during pregnancy?

Is my refrigerator on a "defrost cycle" or did it malfunction?

(I have zero experience with “defrost cycles”) My GE refrigerator is 18 months old and past its warranty. It has the freezer below, fridge on top. When I open the fridge door, there is a digital display for both the freezer control and the fridge control with clicker ons to raise and lower each respective temps. The digital displays read in Fahrenheit with a selection range approx of -6 to +8 degrees for the freezer and approx 34 to 43 degrees for the refrigerator. Is says suggested range 0 degrees for the freezer and 37 degrees for the fridge. I came home to it yesterday and there was lots of frost on the outside of items in my freezer such as ice cream and bags frozen vegetables. I checked the digital display and it read 20 degrees, which is outside of the adjustment range. The fridge read 48 degrees also outside of the adj range. The frozen items were softer than normal. I tried to lower the temps for the freezer and fridge with the clicker ons. The temp for the freezer dropped from 20 degrees to 0. I closed the door and a few seconds later it was back to 20. I tried again and also tried to lower the fridge temp from 48 to 37. after I closed the door and seconds later it said 20 and 48. As I’m writing this I realize it snapped back to 20 and 48 because those were the current temps and it may have been lowering. But at the time I didn’t realize this so I took 2 screws securing the display and there were only 3 wires going to the display circuitboard. I disconnected the 3-wire plug and plugged it back in and the freezer display stayed at 0 this time. The fridge wouldn’t go back so I put it on turbo-cool function. I came back to the fridge 2 hours later and the fridge was at 9 degrees. This morning it was at -1 degrees. The fridge seems to be back to normal too. whats up?

I bought the Rustoleum Epoxy concrete paint but they said it cant be used on driveways. any suggestions?

I think you would need to use the concrete stain. The paint will just pull up from the heat of the car's tires. You can get concrete stain that looks just like paint or you can get it in a semi transparent which looks more like a natural stone when you are through. It's beautiful. The most important thing though when doing anything to concrete is to etch the concrete first. This will allow the stain to sink into the concrete and not pull up. This is done with a product that you can get at Home Depot and you just wash it on, rub it in with a stiff brush and then wash it off after it sits for a bit. Check with your local Home Depot ociate though just to make sure the stain will work, but I think that it will. Also, I know that Rusoleum makes a garage epoxy coating so that is meant to stand up to the car tires. It comes in gray and tan and you are supposed to add these decorative chips to it, but for a driveway, that might look weird. It will be expensive though, it costs about $100 for a one car garage size. I say look into the stain.
