Battling to conceive baby number 1 at age 34.?

ya know what i just turned 30 and have been trying. my first doctor didnt do any blood work or tests. so i went to a fertility specialist. what they ended up doing were hormone checks by blood, they found out i have pcos, they did a dye xray to see if my tubes were sticking together or blocked, and now i have been put on clomid after being put on provera to start my period. oh and i have to keep my basal body temp. this helps you to figure out when you're ovulating. so i would go to another doctor if for anything a second opinion. my 1st dr i saw him for 5 years -- all of this could've been started already had he done his job. you should def be taking a good prenatal vitamin along with extra folic acid and your hubby should be taking a multivitamin and a folic acid supplement. this will help with preventing birth defects and will help his sperm count and quality. oh and be careful what you use for lube, i've been reading about pre-seed, which seems to be the best option, because saliva, mineral oil, ky all are not sperm friendly. you may even have a cyst on your ovary.
