What should I do if I'm having fish problems?

I bought 2 fish yesterday, and I'm not sure if their boys, girls, or both. How can I tell which is which? Plus, I think they might be breeding or getting ready to breed from what I've seen. How do I tell if they're breeding? I'm not so sure if I want lil' fishies floating around, please help me! :)
