Is it true that Pope Benedict prohibits Catholics from using contraception?

Only artificial contraception. God also condemns it.. If people remained true to their marriage vows and remained faithful one does not need to worry about STD's. And those that arent married should remain abstinent until marriage. The Bible gives us instructions for a reason, it is such a shame no one is willing to follow them.
