What does lynx or linx, or lve mean?

I do believe that "lynx" is a type of large wild cat with pointed tufts on the ears being their trademark for appearance. A few times larger than the average housecat, a lynx is usually found in woodland areas and can be very elusive. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking with this question but to my knowledge, lynx is a cat.
